As you know, NWPOA is opposed to Urban Renewal Districts.
- They have very little or no transparency.
- They increase property taxes.
- Properties are usually condemned and/or businesses forced out. (See our recent social media post on Medicine Man Pharmacy's concerns about the health corridor.)
- This CDA Health Corridor has no contingency plan for an economic downturn.
- "...approximately 7% of the Kootenai County tax bill goes to make up for the loss of money due to various city urban renewal districts."
This proposed Health Corridor will affect all Kootenai County Residents, not just the residents of the city of Coeur d'Alene.
